Shark Attack

Smithsonian published an article a few days ago about the worst shark attack in history, and it reminded me of this particularly brilliant performance by the consistently awesome and shockingly chameleon-like Robert Shaw (who also edited the speech down to what we saw in the movie), telling the story of the USS Indianapolis, which in the movie, explains why Shaw's character, Quinn, has such an Ahab-like devotion to finding the shark.

I'm also reading the Ina Caro book. How are you finding it? I like her style

I haven't gotten very far yet, but so far, I love her voice. When I travel, I like to try to imagine the sights and sounds of the past, and she manages to paint that sort of picture in her writing, while giving events a sturdy context.
