Too bad that clip got removed. Did go watch some news stories about the anniversary, though, like this one from Sky News
Hey! That's the same one! I wonder how long it will last...
Good question. In case it goes missing again: The Rolling Stones have been together longer than most married folks. They've had their ups and downs, but thanks to common goals have muddled through together. Oh, and being wild and crazy in the 60's was tame to how it is today. There, the history of (some) rock and roll summed up.But none of that explain the awesome that is a bunch of blues-inspired guys, making music and genuinely loving their craft and their fans for 50 straight years. And, the fact that they played Bergen, Norway, put Bergen on the map as a place for international rockers to give concerts. Thanks, Stones, and happy anniversary!
And I didn't know that they'd been to Bergen! But according to the guy who brought them there, they had a good time.
Yes, Frank Nes is somewhat of a local hero around here. He works hard! Now, I may have missed the boat re Bruce Springsteen, but maybe I'll see Paul Simon. :-)
Oh, that would be a treat!! I gather he puts on a great show!
Ticket bought. He plays mostly old stuff, but that's what most of his fans know, too. :-)
Oooh! He's going to have Ladysmith Black Mambazo along for the ride! They're wonderful! (I got to see them in Chattanooga just this past spring.)
Oh, wow! I've got a lot to look forward to! :-D
