Tlaloc and Tefnut got busy!

I hope this won't get filed in the category of "be careful what you wish for." The other day, I was whining about the weather. Since then, two hurricanes have formed on the US east coast and one of them looks poised to give the Tennessee Valley a drenching. Perhaps a bit more than our parched earth can handle:

Have a happy Labor Day, everyone! We'll be spending ours inside. But along with the precipitation, we'll also be seeing some dramatically lower temperatures, so even if our holiday gets rained out, we will still get to enjoy some cooler air. I might even open a window for the first time since... oh, say... May?!?  :-D

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your first taste of fall weather!

We're getting Irene's leftovers right now. For Bergen, it feels like the usual. For the Oslo area, there's a flood warning, but they've been flooding all summer so I'm thinking they're over capacity.
