I've had a difficult week full of computer troubles, but I think I've finally got them resolved (sorry for the lack of a Wordless Wednesday, but until late last night, I was unable to upload photos!), and therefore I am especially happy to be bringing you this brown pelican!

ReplyDeleteNice pelican. Love the blond 'do! I can't help but wonder if this one is still safe and alive after the oil spill. But we've had this discussion before, so I assume it is.
Ugly and beautiful, yes. I love the textures in this pelican. And the hairdo! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHopefully it's ok. National Georgraphic's issue on the spill featured an oil-covered pelican and I gather quite a few were lost in the aftermath, but as we discussed before, the part of Florida where I was spending time last January is somewhat protected from the Gulf.
