Some images of Chicago...

If you're a facebook buddy, you might want to check the album I put up earlier today (they're pictures of people, mostly). Other photos from this trip will appear in the coming weeks' wordless wednesday and friday creature posts.

We went to the racetrack at Arlington:

We visited the Bean on a gorgeous Sunday, so there was a crowd:

Said crowd included a wedding party:

And Emmie and me, both snapping the same shot:

The Pritzker Pavilion is a very cool space:

The fountain Al Bundy made famous:

Boats on Lake Michigan:

A lighthouse near the Navy Pier:

... and the Ohio Street Beach:

Great pics! I'd like to see Chicago some day. And then I'd like to take the same architectural tour Sandra Bullock's character did in "The Lake House."

I don't know how you manage to take pictures that look so real. Those are fantastic! I'm going to share them with my photographer buddy at work.

Thank you, both! Keera, it's an incredible city and very walkable (we also used buses, trains and cabs!). And next time I go, I'm definitely taking my bike because it's also impressively bike-friendly!

Gorgeous shots, Alice. Looks like a great labor day trip!
