Spring, come back!

The official recorded high temperature in Chattanooga yesterday was 82° F -- according to my back yard thermometer it got a little warmer than that, but keeping it official, that's still pretty hot for the second week of March! And today is expected to be in the 80s as well, perhaps with a record-setting high temperature.

Winters in Chattanooga are pretty bleak and dreary, and we rarely get any snow that might be fun to play in or could make a pretty picture. And summers are oppressively hot and humid, especially lately. So, spring and fall are what we have to live for around here, and I think maybe the one day of spring that we got over the weekend wasn't quite enough to sate us. So, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that the weather will return to more mild temps, and that we might still be treated to a good couple of weeks of spring before the dreaded blanket of pollen starts to fall and we are all forced to close our windows once again...
