Friday Creature

I popped by Crabtree Farms this week, and caught this guy, hard at work. Lately, with all the bad news about bees, I'm always glad to see the few that are left.

Have you got the Olympics Fever yet?!? I'm pretty psyched -- I've loved watching the games since I was a kid -- but I'm going to make a quick trip out of town for a wedding before I can sink into the coverage. Have a great weekend (and go say hello to the arkettes!)!

Unfortunately, that's not a honeybee - those are the one's with the problem. Honeybees have striped abdominal sections, IIRC. If you go here you can see what I mean: http://images.google.com/images?q=honeybee&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi

That's a different kind of bee entirely... but it is nice to see them busily flitting about!

Forgive me if this is in poor taste, but after hearing the news today I have to wonder if you've ever been hit on while driving someone to a campaign event from the airport... ?

Olympics? What's that? ;-) I thought maybe this year I'd actually watch the opening ceremony, but got distracted by an opportunity to see Meat Loaf in concert.
