Put me down for the Gremlin - and proud of it!

My first car was a 1975 Mustang II. It was a Pinto with a Mustang looking body.

Huh? The Pinto was made as early as 1971? I didn't know that. And no, neither I nor any family member has owned any of the cars listed.

The Gremlin I drove was inherited from my step-grandfather. I drove it in 1996, so if it was made in 1970 it was a pretty good car for a "lemon". I didn't drive it for long, but for a teenager in the mid 90's it was a fun car to drive. No one else had anything like it. It certainly had its quirks and that is what made it so fun.

Note: your comments have led me to append "/classics" to my post (I should have worded more carefully the first time!).

I have never owned any of these, fortunately. But I did have the misfortune to have a Chevy HHR as a rental once. Basically a Chevy SSR (which is on the list) but without being a convertable.

This was actually during a neighborhood-hunting trip to Chattanooga. I was actually going down from the top of Lookout Mountain on Ochs highway and discovered a very disconcerting problem with the HHR: it apparently weighs like a truck but has the brakes of a smallish car. It did not want stay slowed down, even with the (auto) transmission selected to lower gear.
