City Attorney Goes After Rutherford

That's the word from inside the city council meeting...

More here.

A Live and Local caller pointed out today that all this litigation happens on the public's dime. Certainly puts Rutherford's counter-suit into an infuriating light.

The longer she holds up this process (by not resigning) the larger the burden on all of Chattanooga.

That is infuriating. In an article on the chattanoogan, it says "Ms. Rutherford said she has received hundreds of calls and greeting cards in support." I wonder how many of those supporters would go so far as to help cover the cost of this litigation?

What I find baffling is why anyone would support a politician that knowingly subverts the law. There's no gray area in this dispute.

As far as I'm concerned, once you're elected to office, you're on thin ice with me. I call it the "DavidM. One Strike and You're Out" approach.

How 'bout once you declare you're running for office you're automatically suspect?

It was HILARIOUS today to watch Marti glaring at Randy during the City Council meeting.

I just wish she'd have some class and step down.
