Here is a taste of G-Dog's gumbo, served with Emmie's cornbread. It's a pretty hot dish, as we're all very fond of spicy foods. The cornbread provides a nice antidote, and for dinner I think a nice semi-sweet white wine compliments this dish quite well. We served it last night, along with a salad and some brown rice, when some friends joined us for dinner. The photos are from today, though, when the gumbo reappeared as yummy leftovers.

I cannot imagine how there could have been any leftovers. It's the best breakfast that I have had in a long, long time!

Washing it down right now with a long slow drink of cold water while mopping the sweat from my brow.
