Friday Creature

Name this bird! All I know is that it is Italian.

It's another bird from last summer's trip to Florence and Rome. I looked around the web this morning, and so far, haven't found anything to help me make a confident ID. I have to get to work now, though I will keep trying to figure out what it is as time permits. In the meantime, if anyone wants to take a stab at it, feel free!
Other creatures have been more conscientiously identified over on the ark! Enjoy the long weekend!

Given its proportions and posture, it is clearly a member of the robin/thrush family. It is darkly colored overall with a yellowish bill, so my guess is a Eurasian Blackbird. You can find examples on this page: http://digiscopingukbirds.homestead.com/Thrushes.html.

You all are probably better at this than me- but this bird puts me in mind of a thrasher. The reason is because of the size of the bill. I didn't think members of the trush family had bills that chubby. Hell, what do I know? I'm still trying to figure out if my chickadees are Carolina or Black-Capped.

A birder friend of mine thinks it may an immature song thrush.
