Quote of the Day

"Whether or not it needed to happen, I'm still convinced it needed to happen." -- George W. Bush in a recent interview with Brian Williams when asked if the War on Iraq was elective.

And also, in case you missed it, Bush claims that he doesn't live in a bubble, though he was unaware that many people -- including some in the mainstream press -- think that maybe he lives in bubble.

Heh.

Newsweeks cover is great. I bought it yesterday to read while I sat in George H W Bush Intercontinental Airport. I could not wait to get out of the place because of the name, of course.

How did this goob get elected? Oh yeah, maybe he didn't win ... he sure is good at distracting the population with stupidity while cunning enough to line the pockets of his corporate buddies.

Actually, he both elections in but because of some serious irregularites in Florida and Ohio, he is the "leader of the free world": Florida being the more obvious.

The problem is few Democrats were willing to challenge the results in these states. In the case of Florida (2000), it was much easier for the Dems to blame us Greens and Ralph Nader then to actually get off their asses and challenge the results of the election.
